PURPOSE: A portable refrigerator is provided to achieve an improved user convenience by allowing the refrigerator to operate even without a power applied from an external source. CONSTITUTION: A portable refrigerator comprises a main body having a storage space; a heat exchange cycle for supplying a cooling air to the storage space of the main body; and a power supply unit installed in the main body, and which supplies a power required for driving the heat exchange cycle from the battery cell arranged inside of the power supply unit. The power supply unit includes a power line for receiving a power from an external source, and the battery cell for charging the part of the power supplied from the external source and supplying the charged power upon interruption of the external power.
