The fabrication of an elasto-resistant upholstery nap comprises shaping of natural and artificial fibres, for condensation to eliminate electrostatic charges. After vibration, the fibres are deposited in layers to form the nap which is then conveyed by a belt to a heating tunnel coalescing the upholstery components. EMBODIMENT - The operation is carried out with centralised venting throughout.
