PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing a schedule using the Internet are provided to adjust schedule between private persons or between a private person and a group smoothly and easily by enabling other member or a group constituent to monitor a public schedule of a private person. CONSTITUTION: A database(54) receives schedules of a user and a group from a web server(50) and stores the schedules as a public state or a non-public state in accordance with a request of the user. A member managing program(52-1) receives user information and stores the information in the database(54) and updates the information. A group managing program(52-2) receives group information and stores the information in the database(54) and updates the information. A private person schedule managing program(52-4) stores a schedule being inputted by the user in the database(54) as a public state or a non-public state in accordance with a request of the user, and makes other user monitor the stored schedule as a public state and updates the database(54) when new schedule is inputted. A group schedule managing program(52-5) stores a schedule being inputted by a group constituent in the database(54), and makes group constituents monitor the stored schedule and updates the database(54) when new schedule is inputted.
