PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable telephone set where reinforcing component having rigidity larger than that of an external appearance component is used for only a skeleton of folding structure, without exposing metal to external appearance, and productivity is improved. SOLUTION: A first cabinet consists of an upper case 12 provided with a window 11 for a display (not shown), an upper substrate 14 mounting electronic components (not shown), an upper hinge frame 14 and an upper cover 15 which mounts the components. A second cabinet consists of a lower cover 22, in which a key hole 21 for installing a key operation unit (not shown) is opened, a lower substrate 23 composed of PCB(printed circuit board) on which electronic components (not shown) are mounted, a lower hinge frame 24, and a lower case 25 which mounts the components.
