PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music reproducing system through which a user who has purchased a recording medium where music data are recorded automatically obtains additional data and information. SOLUTION: The system consists of an information control means 3 which controls additional information that is information accompanying music data recorded on a music recording medium and a music reproducing device 1 which obtains the additional information from the server 3. The device 1 has a control means 13 which obtains information acquisition codes recorded on the medium from a reproducing means 11 and a transmitting and receiving means 14 which transmits the information acquisition codes to the server 3 via a communication line and receives additional information corresponding to the code from the server 3. The server 3 has a transmitting and receiving means 31 which receives the codes and transmits the additional information corresponding to the codes to the device 1, an information storage means 33 which stores the codes and the additional information in terms of pairs and an information control means 32 which reads the additional information corresponding to the codes received by the means 31 from the means 33 and outputs the information to the means 31.
