PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical face scanning type image recording device which is composed in a compact, light, and inexpensive form, and by which device a highly accurate image recording is performed. SOLUTION: The central axis of a half-cylindrical drum 22 is nearly vertically arranged and a spinner 26 is displaceably formed along a rack 42 disposed in parallel with the central axis, thus an image is recorded with a high accuracy by holding a photosensitive material S on the cylindrical face of the half- cylindrical drum 22 irradiated with a laser beam L from the spinner 26.
