PERFORMANCE EVALUATION TESTING EQUIPMENT OF RECIPROCAL ENGINE FOR AIRCRAFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide testing equipment with a simple and inexpensive strucure which can implement a performance evaluation test of a reciprocal engine for an aircraft under a low pressure environment. SOLUTION: The engine 10 is housed into a chamber 20 while air in the chamber 20 is sucked and exhausted with an exhauster 50 together with an exhaust gas of the engine 10. At this point, the travel of an electronic control valve 61 provided at an air intake port 26 of the chamber 20 is controlled with a controller 63 to maintain the pressure in the chamber 20 at a test pressure while the pressure in the chamber 20 is detected with a pressure sensor 62. The low pressure environment only inside the chamber 20 allows a very small size and a simple structure and thus, very inexpensive manufacturing is made possible by the diverted use of the testing equipment for evaluating performance of the reciprocal engine for an automobile.
