PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing an excessive cable length that performs the processing of the excess cable length mechanically and speedily, even if the excess cable length varies. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an excess length take-up roller 1 with which the excess length of a cable to be extended engages substantially into a U-shape, a slide part 2 that is fixed on the roller 1, an inclined guide part 3 that drives the slide part 2 to cause the roller to be guided in the downward direction of the inclination due to its own weight, and supporting pillars that support the guide part 3.
