PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell structure of a connector with a misfit protection key function against a mate shell, which can prevent a joining part from unfastening, with stable shell dimension. SOLUTION: The shell 3 is formed so that one end part 3a of a metal plate 3' and the other end part 3b face and touch with each other, and in order to prevent unfastening of the joining part of one end part 3a and the other end part 3b, an engaging part 5 mounted on one end part 3a is engaged with an engaging hole 6 mounted on the other end part 3b, and one end part 3a and the other end part 3b are held mutually.
