PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for fixing an optical element which can reduce a space necessary for fixing the optical element and can firmly fix the optical element without adding a stress. SOLUTION: The mechanism for fixing the optical element has a prism assembly 5 formed with projecting parts, an intermediate member 9 abutting on the projecting parts to hold the prism assembly 5, a frame 3 which prevents the projecting parts from separating from the intermediate member 9 by abutting on the projecting parts and holding the intermediate member 9, and which are fastened to the intermediate member 9 by screws, light transmitting members 8a, 8b oppositely provided to the side face of the prism assembly 5, a coating member 10 to cover the prism assembly 5, and a finder part 11 to protect a user's eye. |
