PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that miscellaneous bacteria can propagate in water when water is not replaced for a long time in a conventional ultrasonic humidifier using tap water and the bacteria do harm to human health when being emitted in air by atomization. SOLUTION: An atomization tank 2 is formed in an upper section of an ultrasonic humidifier 1, an ultrasonic oscillator 3 is provided on a bottom of the atomization tank 2, and an oscillation output is applied on the ultrasonic oscillator 3 from a high frequency oscillation circuit 4. A receptacle 5 of the oscillation circuit 4 is connected to a commercial power source. A cap insertion part 6 is provided on a side part of the atomization tank 2 and a water passage opening 7 is formed in a bottom of the cap insertion part 6. A protrusion 8 is formed on a lower part of the water passage opening 7. A cap 10 is fitted on an opening of a PET bottle 9. A spring 12 disposed on a periphery of a water shutoff lever 11 having an enlarged part 11a provided on one end constantly urges the enlarged part 11a of the water shutoff lever 11 to close an opening part 10a of the cap 10.
