PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To peel a transfer material of inexpensive and simple constitution, even when a toner image carrier drum is the large-diameter one, or when transfer material is thin. SOLUTION: This transfer device is equipped with a drum-type toner image carrier 7, a transfer part 9 for transferring a toner image formed on the toner image carrier 7 to the transfer material S, a transfer material separation means 14 disposed at one end part of the transfer part 9, and a transfer material curvature imparting means 15 disposed proximately on the downstream side of the separation means 14. The separation means 14 consists of a belt-like resin sheet and the imparting means 15 is constituted of a carrying belt 15e, having triangular shape from side-view and a curvature imparting roller 15d pressed to the oblique side of the belt 15e. The transfer material enters into the space between the belt 15e and the roller 15d and is bent and carrier by the roller 15d.
