PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio recording and reproducing device which can instantaneously identify the position of audio data to be reproduced. SOLUTION: The device records an audio data file that consists of plural data blocks in which audio data are recorded in a fixed size unit. While generating the above audio data file, the device is provided with a CPU 6 which generates a management file that has recording time information for every data block.
