PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for distributing advertisement by which advertisement distribution with high effect is realized through a network by allowing a user oneself to specify the commodity field of an advertisement to be distributed. SOLUTION: The user previously selects and registers an interesting field in a database on a web terminal or server and its information is reported by web pages visited at net surfing time; and then the kind of an advertisement displayed in a web page is automatically selected and advertisement of the field that the user is interested in are displayed.
