SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with: a receiving means for receiving a television signal; a processing means for providing an image signal by processing the television signal received by the receiving means; a display means for displaying an image related to the image signal provided by the processing means; a transmitting/receiving means for receiving information transmitted from a remote controller and transmitting information to the remote controller; and a control means for transmitting setting information concerning the operation setting state of the device to the remote controller by using the transmitting/receiving means in accordance with a power source OFF command transmitted from the remote controller and performing processing for turning off a power source.
