<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator for vehicle which improves the reliability of its belt, pays attention to the environment and fuel consumption conservation, and can secure quietness. SOLUTION: A pulley transmits a driving force to a rotor when the rotation of a crankshaft is accelerated, and is held by the rotating shaft of the rotor through a one-way clutch which does not transmit the driving force to the rotor when the rotation of the crankshaft is decelerated. The rotor has a plurality of magnetic poles surrounding a field coil, and a power generation control mechanism which makes a prescribed exciting current flow to the field coil upon detecting the rotation stop of an engine. Since the idle running of the generator can be prevented while the occurrence of abnormal sounds caused by the early breakage or slip of the belt is prevented when a vehicle makes normal running, the noise from the generator can be suppressed.</p> |
