<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus, a storage medium, and a rental system capable of blocking the reproduction of the storage medium exceeding a rental period at low cost. SOLUTION: The data reproducing apparatus 30 is provided with a data reproduction control part 34 which starts clocking by using date and time data being the starting point for a reproduction-allowed period shown in management information as an initial value, and enables to reproduce data until the clocked date and time reach the time limit of the reproducible period. The rental system is provided with a data writing apparatus 10 to write management information showing data and the reproduction-allowed period of the data into a storage medium 20, the storage medium 20 to store the data and the management information, and the data reproducing apparatus 30.</p> |
