PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manifold capable of contributing to ensure strength of a mounting flange portion and lightening weight are reducing costs, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a manifold having a mounting flange portion 6 to be mounted on an internal combustion engine, the mounting flange 6 is integrally and continuously arranged with a passage wall 2, A cross section along the direction traversing a passage 1 has a bottom wall 7 having a projecting outer end 9 projecting toward the side of the passage wall 2, and a folded back wall 8 folded in U shape at the projecting outer end 9 of the bottom wall 7 so as to face the bottom wall 7. The mounting flange portion 6 has a structure laminating the bottom wall 7 and the folded back wall 8 to be reinforced. The manifold is formed by curving a pipe material.
