BROADCAST PROGRAM RECORDING AND REPRODUCING SYSTEM WITH DIGITAL INTERFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program recording and reproducing system with a digital interface that can simply process reference and registration of reservation information of a broadcast program by using an AV/C command and that can set the reservation without a problem. SOLUTION: The broadcast program recording and reproducing system with a digital interface consists of a posting device that is provided with the digital interface in compliance with the IEEE1394 standards and that operates reservation of a broadcast program and of a target device that is provided with a resource schedule board of a bulletin board sub-unit registering the reservation information of the broadcast program. The target device registers the reservation information of the broadcast program to the resource schedule board of the bulletin board sub-unit by using the AV/C command for data transmission/ reception via the digital interface to share the reservation information. The resource schedule board can confirm the presence/absence of the reservation for a prescribed time zone and/or can set the reservation for the prescribed time zone by using a reservation confirmation command and a reservation execution command belonging to the AV/C commands.
