PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome problem such that continuity of the control of a photographing apparatus is lost if a sub-computer starts the management/control of a system on the basis of originally set initial information when a main com puter fails. SOLUTION: In a control system for controlling the photographing apparatus (video switcher 103 and operation switcher 104) by using a main computer 101 and a sub-computer 102, the sub-computer updates and holds system operation information which is transferred from the main computer for photographing on occasion. When the control of the photographing apparatus by using the main computer is disabled, this sub-computer performs the control of the photographing apparatus based on the preserved information.
