PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the reduction of a manufacturing cost while certainly fixing a supporting shaft to a supporting plate. SOLUTION: The device has the supporting shaft 12 to support an optical pickup 5 movably and a chassis 13 consisting of a metallic material on which the supporting shaft 12 is mounted. The chassis 13 is integrally provided with the positioning piece 14 having a set of reference surfaces 16 and 17 abutting on the outer peripheral part of each end of the supporting shaft 12 to position the supporting shaft 12 to the chassis 13. Besides, the chassis 13 is integrally provided with a fixing piece 15 which has an engagement part 21 to engage with the outer peripheral part of the supporting shaft 12 and an elastic displacement part 22 integrally formed in the engagement part 21 to energize the engagement part 21 so as to be pressed in the diameter direction of the supporting shaft 12, and engages the engagement part 21 with the supporting shaft 12 to fix.
