PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable, compact, and high-performance veneer capacitor, without generating cracks, peel-off, or the like. SOLUTION: In this veneer capacitor where an electrode is arranged on the main surface of a dielectric ceramic substrate, the electrode by a conductive material plate is joined to at least one main surface, and reduction in mechanism strength caused by the thinning of the dielectric ceramic substrate is reinforced by the conductive material plate. A thin-film conductive layer of 15 to 50μm can contribute to improve the mechanical strength of the substrate, and can be used as the electrode. In addition, a means for relieving stresses caused by the difference in coefficients of linear expansion is provided on the conductive material plate for preventing the cracks and peel-off from being generated.
