摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator for motor and a motor comprising the same commutator which is superior in reduction of size and weight and in high velocity rotating property and can realize longer operation period, and also to provide a commutator for motor or an adequate method of manufacturing a motor. SOLUTION: The commutator 1 for motor is formed of a commutator sleeve 11 and a plurality of commutator pieces 10 disposed in the periphery thereof. A bonding surface of the commutator piece 10 for the commutator sleeve 11 is formed as the rough surface 10A. This rough surface 10A can be formed by an etching process or oxidation-reduction process (melanism process). The roughness of the rough surface 10A formed by the etching process is set in the range of 0.1μm to 50μm, while the roughness of the rough surface 10A formed by the oxidation-reduction process is set in the range of 0.01 mg/cm2 to 1.0 mg/cm2.
