PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a reference light quantity without setting a reference reflection plate serving as a reference in a measurement optical path during the measurement of the sample so as to accurately measure a sample even when a light source light quantity or detection sensitivity fluctuates. SOLUTION: A transparent/translucent plate 6 is fixed at the tip of a fiber probe 3 formed of a light projecting fiber 4 and a light receiving fiber 5 inserted into a metal cylinder 7, while on the basis of a measured light quantity without the reference reflection plate 8 and that with the reference reflection plate 8, a ratio of a reflected light quantity from the transparent/translucent plate 6 to that from the reference reflection plate 8 is found, and during the sample plate measurement, a measured light quantity measured while placing the reference reflection plate 8 is estimated by using the measured light quantity without the sample plate and the found ratio. Using the estimated measured light quantity, the measurement light quantity for the sample plate is corrected.
