摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cooling mechanism simple in working as well as structure and a motor air spindle, employing the mechanism, by a method wherein a cooling effect at the desired position of a heat generating body is improved and the temperature distribution in the heat generating body is made symmetrical with respect to the axis of the body. SOLUTION: A transmission passage 3 for passing compressed air or refrigerant is provided in or near the heat generating body 1 while a plurality of choking parts 3a are provided in series in the transmission passage 3. The choking parts 3a are provided at positions in accordance with the heat generating position of the heat generating body 1 or, further, in accordance with a position whereat cooling is desired to be enhanced. When the compressed air or the refrigerant is injected out of the choking parts, adiabatic expansion is generated and the temperature is reduced. According to this method, the position whereat the choking part 3a is provided can be cooled selectively whereby the choking parts 3a are provided at desired positions to permit the cooling of the desired positions selectively. The cooling mechanism is constituted of the transmission passage 3 and the choking parts 3a while the transmission passage 3 can also be formed linearly whereby the structure of the cooling mechanism is simple and the working cost of the same is low.
