PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-vibration system, while enabling shortening of oscillation period by adding a spring force as against short natural period after having tuned up oscillation period in long natural period, wherein whole apparatus is prevented from becoming to be large-sized by making compact a spring provided for shortening the oscillation period and a displacement transfer mechanism to the spring altogether. SOLUTION: The anti-vibration system is so constructed as a TMD(tune mass damper) type comprising an elastic body 11 and a weight body 12 oscillatably supported by the elastic body 11. The oscillation period of TMD vibration system is tuned up in association with the natural period in the direction of short width of building. Displacement in the direction of long width is taken out by mounting displacement extract means 20, 20a on the weight body 12, the displacement is converted to an amount of rotation of a rotatable body 40 through first tension members 30, 30a, the amount of rotation is transmitted to spring members 60, 60a through second tension members 50, 50a, and then the spring forces of the spring members 60, 60a are added to the oscillation in the direction of long width of the weight body 12.
