PURPOSE: A device for driving a head of a dot printer is provided to stably drive a head despite vibration of a needle spring while returning an amateur into an original position. CONSTITUTION: A device for driving a dot printer head comprises a guide body(10) slidingly moving plural needles(20); plural amateurs(50) strikes an end portion of the needle; an electromagnet driving the amateur; a cover member(70) maintaining a rotational center while maintaining an interval of the amateur; plural front guide holes(11) connected to the front end of the needle by being mounted on a front of the guide body; plural rear guide holes(12) connected to a rear portions of the needles; plural center guide holes(13) formed on a middle portion of the needle; a guide plate(15) combined to the guide body; a yoke member(40) forming a magnetic passage; a holder(32) winding a coil(44) in a peripheral face by being connected to the yoke member; a center yoke(41) engaged with the holder; side yokes(42,43) forming the magnetic passage with the center yoke; and a spring(21) mounted on an end portion of the needle.
