PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery case with excellent brilliance in appearance and operation efficiency and a surface treatment steel plate which is suited for manufacturing the battery case. SOLUTION: The battery case utilizes a surface treatment steel plate having bright nickel or bright nickel-cobalt alloy plating at its outermost layer, obtained by a molding method such as a deep-draw molding, a DI molding, or a DTR molding method. Since the bright nickel plating or bright nickel-cobalt alloy plating layer at the outermost layer has a high brilliancy, it gives an excellent appearance. Further, flow rate of the battery cases after molding is excellent, hence a good operating efficiency. |
