<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an image picked up by an image pickup element through a communication means to a center for recording/managing the image without damaging the original function of an electronic camera. SOLUTION: In the electronic camera, a first mode for storing the image picked up by the image pickup element on a recording medium mounted in the main body of camera and a second mode for transmitting the image through the communication means to the center can be selected. When the remaining memory capacity of the recording medium is equal to or greater than a set valueα, the first mode is selected (S18), but when the memory capacity of the recording medium is smaller than the set valueα, the second mode is selected (S14). When the second mode is selected and communications are enabled, 'image transmission' is displayed and the image is transmitted (S15 and S16), but when communications are disabled, a warning of 'no recording capacity' is displayed (S17).</p> |
