PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for automatically collating a note/ check which does not depend on visual observation by an operator as in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: Each voucher collation terminal 10 is connected to a database 20 for registration seal/signature through a communication line 30; the data of the seal and signature of a corresponding account acquired from the database 20 are collated individually and automatically with the images of the registered seal and the signature read from a note/check for being collated by using MICR data read from the note/check for being collated and recognized by a voucher reading/recognizing device 11; and when both the collation results of the registered seal part and the signature part satisfy the reference the note/check for being collated is deemed as being proper. |
