PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element in which light emission of orange to red color is possible and a luminous efficiency is high. SOLUTION: This is the light emitting element in which luminous substances exist between a positive electrode and a negative electrode and which emits light by an electric energy, and the element contains a compound expressed in a formula (1). Here, R1 to R4 may be the same or different, and are selected among hydrogen, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, aralkyl group, alkenyl group, cycloalkenyl group, alkynyl group, hydroxyl group, mercapto group, alkoxy group, alkylthio group, aryl ether group, arylthio ether group, aryl group, heterocyclic group, halogen, haloalkane, haloalkene, haloalkyne, cyano group, aldehyde group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, ester group, carbamoyl group, amino group, nitro group, silyl group, siloxanyl group, condensed ring, heterocyclic ring and alicyclic ring formed between adjacent substituent groups, and single bond, ether bond, amino group, amide bond, ester bond and sulfide bond for coupling with other skeletons.
