PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detector whose productivity is enhanced, whose production costs can be reduced and which comprises a driven gear of superior wear durability. SOLUTION: The rotation detector is provided with a gear part 7 which transmits the rotation of the output shaft of a transmission to a rotating shaft 2. The gear part 7 is constituted of an engagement part 71 which is rotation- coupled to the output shaft of the transmission and which is composed of a metal material and a transmission member 72 which transmits the rotation of the engagement part 71 to the rotating shaft.
