PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which improves the display quality of a display screen displayed on a liquid crystal display element by preventing the direct exertion of vibration or impact from outside on a housing member by means of mounting screws for fixing the liquid crystal display device to an external case. SOLUTION: The mounting member having screw holes, into which the mounting screws for fixing the liquid crystal display device to the external case are screwed, is disposed between a side wall of the housing member of a backlight unit and the side wall of a frame member of the liquid crystal display device having the backlight unit. This mounting member (20) is provided with the screw holes (23) and is composed of a first side (21) extending along the side wall of the housing member and a second side (22) fixed to the housing member. The first side is a region to be provided with the screw holes of the first side and has notches (25) on both sides of the screw holes in the extension side of the housing member.
