PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately set the level of color failure correction by automatically detecting the film images photographed under a yellow light source. SOLUTION: A preprocessing section 221 performs necessary data processing in order to extract the characteristics of the photographed film images. A characteristic value extracting section 222 extracts the characteristics of respective pieces of the pixel data of the image data of the respective colors obtained by separation to the color components of B, G and R from the photographed film images as the isolation degrees from the regression lines obtained from the coordinate points on the R-B coordinates and G-R coordinates of respective pieces of pixel data of the images obtained by standard photographing. A color failure correction value calculating section 223 estimates the intensity of the yellow light source by identifying whether the images are photographed under the yellow light source or not in accordance with the isolation degrees and calculates the color failure correction values according to the intensity of the yellow light source. A color failure correction processing section 224 performs the color failure correction of the images photographed in accordance with the color failure correction values. |
