摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high-quality picture which has a high contrast ratio and is bright by structuring an opening area of pixels line-symmetrical to scanning lines and data lines, while increasing a pixel opening ratio and storage capacitance in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device is provided with pixel electrodes (9a), and TFTs (30) and capacitance lines (300) connected therewith on the picture display area of a TFT array substrate (10), and is further provided with data lines (6a) and scanning lines (3a) connected with the TFTs. The capacitance lines are laminated on the scanning lines via an interlayer insulating film and formed of a conductive film different from that of the data lines and the scanning lines. The data lines correspond to the gaps between laterally adjoining pixel electrodes and are arranged at the centers of non-opening areas extending in the longitudinal direction, and the scanning lines correspond to the gaps between longitudinally adjoining pixel electrodes and are arranged at the centers of non-opening areas extending in the lateral direction.</p>
