PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain shaving due to abutting of both ends of a photoreceptor against a transfer roll. SOLUTION: In the unit, the service life of the photoreceptor drum 1 can be prolonged by restraining the shaving in both end side regions of the photoreceptor drum 1, by making the fictional force between both end side regions (non-paper passing pat) of an elastic layer 4a of the transfer roll 4 and the photoreceptor drum 1 to be smaller than the frictional force between a central part region (paper-passing part) that is positioned inside these both end side regions and the photoreceptor drum 1 by polishing the central part region of the elastic layer 4a and the both end side regions (width t), where the length of the transfer roll 4 is L, by reversing the direction of polishing for each. |
