PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linkage mechanism in which assembly work of link member can be performed simply and a predetermined initial elastic force can be positively imparted to a coil spring. SOLUTION: The linkage mechanism is characterized in that a flat plane 26 is formed on the outer periphery of an adapter 24 of the link member 3 to have a D-shaped cross section, a cutaway edge 25 slanted towards the flat plane is formed at the edge part of the leading edge thereof, and, on the other hand, an assembly aperture 6 of a D-shaped cross section having a flat plane in the inner periphery thereof is formed in a first member 2b, thereby, upon insertion of the adaptor 24 into the assembly aperture 6, the insertion is performed with the cutaway edge 25 being brought into contact with the flat plane 6a of the assembly aperture.
