PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a balcony, capable of making an exterior- wall section under a handrail wall smaller without installing a drain pipe. SOLUTION: In the structure of the balcony 1, which is constituted by covering a balcony substrate 2 with a waterproof sheet unit 3, a handrail-wall fixing member 4 is fixed at an appropriate interval to a parapet part 11 at the peripheral edge of the balcony substrate 2, the member 4 is covered with a waterproof steel plate 5 under the straddle height H of a sweep-out window 8, and the end part of the steel plate 5 is fixed to a balcony exterior wall 7 by means of a parapet parting material 6 installed around the exterior wall 7. The parting material 6 is constituted in such a manner as to partially fix the end part of the steel plate 5 to the exterior wall 7 and form a void D between the parting material 6 and the steel plate 5 in the sections except the section wherein the end part of the steel pipe 5 is fixed to the exterior wall 7.
