摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly know the current flowing from a battery 12 and easily calculate the battery remaining capacity by detecting currents, including the power consumption of a current flowing in a voltage detector circuit 18, using a current sensor 40. SOLUTION: The battery system 10 for electric cars feeds a running motor 16 with a driving current through an inverter 14 from a battery 12 comprising a plurality of series connected unit cells 12a, 12b and comprises a plurality of voltage detecting divider resistors 30 connected in parallel to the unit cells to detect their terminal voltages, a current detector circuit 20 for detecting the charge-discharge current to the battery 12 and a battery temperature detector circuit 22 for detecting the temperature of the battery 12. A current sensor 40 of the detector circuit 20 is disposed in a main circuit located between a connection point 42 of a voltage detector circuit 18 and a positive pole terminal 44 of the battery 12 to detect the currents flowing in the divider resistors 30.
