PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize an on-vehicle motor having severe demands on outputs and dimensions by making the coil end of a stator short and compact. SOLUTION: In a coil 31, wound into a prescribed shape, opposing short sides 3s are inserted into jigs 11, 12 with opposing long sides 31 being pressed, and by changing the torsional center X of the jigs, coil ends 3u1 of respective phases can be obtained which are formed out of the short-sides 3s, having a difference in a standing-up position against the long sides 31 forming a slot section 3u2. The coils of respective phases are fitted to a stator core from the internal diameter direction, so that the coil ends 3u1 may be in line with both ends of the core and the slot section are inserted into a slot. The coil ends of respective phases are disposed at positions which are different in the radial direction and roughly the same in the axial direction.
