PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital protective relay which can cope with all system failures. SOLUTION: A ground current differential relay 14 has a ratio difference calculating unit for processing a zero-phase circulation current i3 and a ratio calculating unit for processing only a ground current i4 and can cope with all system failures.
