PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact image forming device realizing the effective utilization of the space of an image forming device main body and the improvement of the degree of freedom in terms of design. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image forming part 10 forming a toner image on a recording sheet S, a fixing device 12 fixing the toner image formed on the sheet S on the sheet S, a 1st motor 17 driving the image forming part 10, a 1st gear train G1 transmitting the driving force of the 1st motor 17 to the image forming part 10, a 2nd motor 21 driving the fixing device 12, and a 2nd gear train G2 transmitting the driving force of the 2nd motor 21 to the fixing device 12. The 1st motor 17 and the 2nd motor 21 are arranged to be opposed to put a sheet carrying path in between.
