PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally insulating material for piping, having a composite structure whose integration conditions are be slided and a composite work is facilitated in the insulating material which is a two-divided part type, where a convavo-convex side is provided on both of each composite surface. SOLUTION: The thermally insulating material has a constitution that on each composite surface of divided bodies of the thermally insulating material formed in two divided parts made of synthetic resin foam, in the thermally insulating material, where a retaining mechanism formed in a convexity and a concave is disposed, the retaining mechanism is gradually tapered from a center to an end.
