PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna which can change the directivity of waves, especially with the upper side of the antenna made small. SOLUTION: This antenna apparatus has a conductive ground conductor 11, a conductive side-face conductor 14 and an antenna element 13 positioned within the space surrounded by the ground conductor 11 and the side-face conductor 14. The antenna element 13 is connected to a signal conductor for transmission/reception.
