PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device which provides voice guide to the user of the device explaining the control method of the device without using a dedicated recording medium. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a digital signal processing section 14 which encodes inputted voice signals into voice data, decodes the voice data and guide voice data and converts the decoded data into voice signals, a recording medium 19 for recording the voice data thereon and has the guide voice data that explain the functions of each control button by voice stored wherein and a system control section 21 which sets an operating mode to a voice guide mode and reproduces the guide voice data related to a control button that is being operated when a control of the control button is detected during the voice guide mode. |
