<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch architecture for optical CDMA packet switching in a network and its method. SOLUTION: The architecture includes an input channel where an input signal is decoded into a component code, a data packet having a header and a payload is related to each component code, and an internal component code is assigned to each payload, an electronic mixer coupled with each input channel, a delay unit that is coupled with the electronic mixer to select a path for each electronic payload and to select an output signal, an output channel that decodes the electronic payload depending on the internal component code, assigns a new component code to each optical payload for the transfer of it as an output signal, and a control unit that generates a path selection control signal for the payload.</p> |
