PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photosensitive material excellent in image preservability, pressure resistance, sensitivity and fog and to provide a specified hydroxylamine compound capable of providing a silver halide photosensitive material excellent in image preservability, pressure resistance and sensitivity when the hydroxylamine compound is incorporated into a photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The hydroxylamine compound is represented by formula [I] or the like and the silver halide photosensitive material contains the compound.
