摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of being made small in size and light in weight by preventing a cable of a fluorescent tube from being protruded from the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a backlight BL including a liquid crystal display panel, a fluorescent tube LP for irradiating the liquid crystal display panel with light and a light guide plate GLB, a shield case made of metal covering the periphery on a side opposite to the backlight BL of the liquid crystal panel and a lower side case MCA retaining the backlight BL and formed integrally with the shield case made of metal and the cable LPC1 of the backlight BL is housed in a groove provided in the lower side case MCA.
