The headlamp has a light source (10) in front of a reflector (20). The reflector has two regions (21,22) separated by the axis of the light source. One region (21) has a curved reflector to create a parallel beam projected directly forward. The other region (22) has a stepped profile (221-223) with bands of curved reflector separated by steps, which directs the beam across the headlamp axis.
