摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery cell having bypass function for stable characteristics with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: There are provided a first conductivity-type semiconductor substrate 1, a primary second conductivity-type region 2 provided on the surface of the substrate, and a bypass function region 17. The bypass function region comprises a secondary second conductivity-type region 3 so adjoining the surface as to provide a prescribed distance L from the primary second conductivity-type region, and a third region for allowing the first conductive semiconductor substrate to be at the same electric potential with the primary second conductive region. The bypass function region uses a depletion layer produced by a reverse- direction voltage in the first conductive semiconductor substrate to form a bypass circuit between the semiconductor substrate and the primary second conductive region, when the reverse-direction voltage is applied between the first conductive semiconductor substrate and the primary second conductive region.</p>
